Most use exact unit definitions; fuel weight uses a density you can see and change. Pilots, drone operators, surveyors, and developers use them alongside the other tools. If you have a value written with its unit, like 145 kts, start with the quantity normalizer. Pitfall: many units share a name, such as the US survey foot and the international foot, or US and imperial gallons, so check which one your source means.
