This group measures the area and perimeter of a polygon on the WGS 84 ellipsoid, with geodesic edges, holes, and shapes that cross the antimeridian or circle a pole. The pitfall is computing area from raw latitude and longitude as if they were flat x and y; a degree of longitude shrinks toward the poles.
