Geoid
The geoid height that separates GPS heights from heights above sea level.
The geoid height is how far the geoid, close to mean sea level, sits above the ellipsoid that GPS heights refer to. Surveyors, drone pilots, and GIS analysts need it to turn a GPS height into an elevation. This group reads the global EGM96 model at any point. It is not NAVD 88: for official US elevations use NGS GEOID18.
