Frame
Earth-centered and local coordinates.
These tools convert between latitude, longitude, and height and Earth-centered X, Y, Z (ECEF), and between a point and a local east-north-up, north-east-down, or azimuth-elevation-range frame. Developers, drone and antenna engineers, and GNSS users need them to relate a position to where they stand. Start with latitude, longitude, and height to ECEF. The usual pitfall is feeding in a height above sea level; these frames need height above the ellipsoid.
I want to convert between latitude, longitude, height and ECEF
- Latitude, longitude, and height to ECEF
Converts geodetic latitude, longitude, and ellipsoidal height to Earth-centered, Earth-fixed X, Y, Z.
- ECEF to latitude, longitude, and height
Converts Earth-centered, Earth-fixed X, Y, Z to geodetic latitude, longitude, and ellipsoidal height, in closed form at any height.
I want to describe a point from where I stand (ENU, NED, azimuth and elevation)
- Point to local ENU, NED, and AER
Expresses a target point in a local tangent plane at an origin: east-north-up, north-east-down, and azimuth-elevation-range, with the rotation matrix on request.
- Local ENU, NED, or AER to point
Finds the latitude, longitude, height, and ECEF position of a point given in a local tangent plane at an origin: east-north-up, north-east-down, or azimuth-elevation-range.
